Exprinter (Uruguay) S.A. started business in Uruguay in 1958. It is the country's first "Casa Bancaria" (Banking House), with over fifty uninterrupted years of service in the financial market.

The company is a corporation operating as a financial intermediation entity, pursuant to the provisions established in Law Nr. 15,322 of 17 September 1982 and its further amendments.

The mode of operation is that of a Financial Institution, therefore its activity is restricted to that specified by law for this type of banking institutions.

As a Financial Institution, Exprinter Uruguay S.A., is a user of both the S.W.I.F.T. (Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunications) -an international organization whose mission is to perform the electronic transfer of funds-, and EUROCLEAR Brussels (an International Company in the business of safekeeping and electronic transfer of paper documents).
